Teaser Tuesdays are hosted by Should Be Reading. The rules are as follows:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  • Here is mine for the day:

I Will Teach You to be Rich by Ramit Sethi, page 3

"You know what? Let the fools debate the details. I decided to learn about money by taking small steps to manage my own spending. Just as you don't have to be a certified nutritionist to lose weight or an automotive engineer to drive a car, you don't have to know everything about personal finance to be rich."

I can't believe I'm saying this about a personal finance book, but I am loving this! His writing is quite humorous.
Well said! Excellent teaser. Mine is here: http://rundpinne.blogspot.com/2009/09/footsteps-i...
Very interesting. Can't see myself reading this, but you never know! Especially if the author has a sense of humor. Nice teaser!
Hey, I have a personal finance (financial self-help) book, too! It's Financial Purity by Jessica Psalidas (and has a really cool cover, something I normally don't pay a lot of attention to). She helps readers build financial strength in any market, and helps readers understand the basic Biblical principles on money. There's just good common sense advice in here.

    Teaser:
"It always surprises me to hear how many people turn bitter when they pray to hit the lottery and then don’t. I know one person who is an atheist because of people who have prayed such things and have not had their prayers answered."

Of course, I must say that with a recent financial setback and a daughter who's very upset about what we're telling her about her college apartment for next year (not the plush digs, honey!) winning the lottery would be really, really welcome about now.
